Olivier Award winner James Hameed, the voice and remote puppetry behind Paddington in Paddington The Musical, has joined the line-up for RepresentAsian: An Evening of Asian Talent.
Hosted by Nina Wadia, this concert brings established West End performers together with emerging artists to raise funds for a scholarship at The Boury Academy. Last year’s evening paid for the first RepresentAsian Scholarship, helping a young performer access professional arts training.
Also on stage: Nadim Naaman, Roshani Abbey, Soophia Foroughi, Hiba Elchikhe, Zheng Xi Yong and Mia Kobayashi. Three graduates from Guildford School of Acting and the Royal Academy of Music, Charlie Moscrop, Sameer Dhanjee and Shivaane Subash, will also make their West End stage debuts.
Dishoom is the event’s partner, so every audience member gets a complimentary chai on arrival. Tickets are from £20, which fits nicely with an evening about opening doors.
