Maybe this is not quite London, but it is certainly do-able on a day trip.

This is more of a family splash and paddle kind of place, rather than a serious swimming lake. With a café, toilets and plenty of picnic space this is a nice family day out.

You will have to pay for the car park and once the car park is full, there is nowhere else. So aim to arrive early (before 10 am).
