Shepperton Lake is very popular with serious swimmers but is also a very pleasant place for a pootle around in the water, though only for adults. Booking is essential as is completing a (very gentle) induction before your first swim. It has recently started experimenting with winter opening.
The lake are currently working to try and get Defra designated bathing water status.
