Christina Bianco delights, captivates and amuses audiences at the Menier Chocolate Factory in this funny one woman impressions show.
A combination of set pieces (one song by multiple divas) and more improvised numbers in response to audience choices, it is a relaxing and diverting night out.
Christina Bianco is a comfortable and engaging host, carrying the audience along with her in her singing whimsy – often giving impressions of singers singing something they would never usually sing. The topical Coronation and Eurovision segments were hugely well received by the audience. We may never listen to Lulu in the same way again!
The show is creatively lit and the relationship between Bianco and her pianist, Ryan MacKenzie, is endearing.
The show was satisfying and charming – just what is needed on a Friday night at the end of a long week. Bianco received a standing ovation and many happy theatregoers poured out into the London night chatting about their favourite numbers.
In Divine Company runs until the 20th of May.
