Applications for Connections, National Theatre’s annual, nationwide youth theatre festival have opened.

Every year, Connections commissions new plays for young people to perform.

Connections is open to any company of young people aged 13-19. This could be a school, a youth theatre or voluntary organisation. The group does not need to be experienced in staging plays.

In 2023, the fee to take part in Connections was £500. (however there are bursaries to cover many of the other associated costs). 

Groups get support to perform one of ten specially commissioned plays, including time with directors and writers.
