For older primary members, this is a thought provoking book which has struck silence into every class in which I have read it. Watching footage of Desmond Tutu talking about his childhood vicar, Trevor Huddleston, will add to its power as children will realise it is a true story.
It is a powerful story of forgiveness and how it helps the person who does the forgiving.
The “very mean word” is never named. There is a very strong foreword and back notes which would also be helpful in the classroom.
