The Tidal Thames swims are a magical experience that you can’t quite believe you are having in the middle of the London. Timed to perfection, start times are precise to the minute as the swim is designed to head up to the end of the Chiswick Eyot island, wait for the tide to turn, and head back – so the tide is always with you.
For a while, this was a controlled NOWCA experience complete with lifeguards in kayaks but it seems it may be reverting to intrepid souls at their own risk.
